TOP TRAY 2022

 

Top Tray Competition Rules

 

The Top Tray winner will receive an award and £15. The Top Tray Class 24 is for a collection of three types of vegetables taken from the following list. The quantity of each vegetable required for showing is given in brackets.

 

Aubergine(2)    Beetroot(3)    Carrot(3)    Cauliflower(2)   Courgette(3)    Cucumber(3)   French Bean(6)    Onion(3)   Parsnip(3)    Pea(3)     Pepper(3)    Potato(3)    Shallot(6)   Runner Bean(6)    Sweetcorn(2)    Tomato(6)  

 

Each vegetable type will be judged out of 20, as follows:

7 points for size, shape and colour

7 points for condition

6 points for uniformity

The overall mark will be out of a total of 60.

 

Vegetables must be displayed within an area 45x60cm (18x24”), without bending them. Exhibits may not exceed the display area. A tray or a board must be used for the display. A black cloth or black painted board maybe used.

 

Parsley maybe used as a garnish, but no other foliage or accessory.

 

Judging points and remarks shall be displayed upon the entry cards.

 

Judge’s decisions are final, any other matters arising shall be decided upon by the Flower Show officials.
